link "No Kids Allowed Movement"...curious about what you all think?

Okay, I was just about to close the computer for the evening and came across this article and decided to post it on my blog and hear everyone’s thoughts. It is an interesting topic.

I have to say, I see both sides. What bothers me is that there are people that feel having children around is a nuisance and perhaps for them, it is, but hey, wasn’t he/she once a kid? Even if they never want kids, they still were born, would they have liked if everyone talked about him/her the way they were as children? I think NOT!

I totally see those people who feel that unruly kids should not be allowed to continue to stay at a restaurant, movie, hotel, etc. but the establishment should talk to the parents and I agree, having signs like this one here…is NOT very friendly to the public in general. It is not sending a nice message at all to the population, in my humble opinion. Of course, there will be places that are inappropriate to bring a child any time, i.e. a bar, night club, etc. BUT THERE HAS NEVER BEEN THOSE KINDS OF SIGNS. What are you going to start saying certain beaches should not have children playing and swimming? Come on, that is ridiculous! If you want to have a sign that says, ANYONE (that can include children) who is disruptive, will be asked to leave. That is fair, polite, etc. BUT, to have a following of NO KIDS ALLOWED and be so blatanly obvious and snooty, is not right. At least, that is my OPINION. People are surely quick to give their opinions in America and with freedom of speech rights, it is almost like verbal diarhea (excuse my language) for some…let’s just all try to get along!!! I always appreciate when I am out and about and some people mention how sweet my children are, how cute they are when they are singing a song or telling a joke or just being a …child! It is refreshing…

I would love to hear everyone else’s thoughts on this heated topic. PLEASE leave a comment here or on my facebook fan page! Thanks!
